Hi- I have a 2000 mercruiser 5
Hi- I have a 2000 mercruiser 5.0 TBI engine. All the drawings and specs I can find show a fuel line returning from pressure regulator of the cool fuel unit to the fuel separator. They also show a vacuum line running to the fuel press reg. Mine has a plug in the fuel pressure reg outlet as well as no vacuum line running to the fuel pressure regulator.
One fuel line is used to feed the TBI unit and the other TBI fitting has a fuel pressure sensor in it.
The brass plug look like factory.
Did someone mess with this system or is it suppose to be like this for a special model?
I can't see how fuel pressure is maintained without a return.
Thanks in advance
Jon
