Well i have done a search but want some first hand knowledge if i can get it the shipping costs are not a deal breaker if i find a good company , am also checking them out via BBB if they are accredited or not so i don't mind buying from a east coast comp if i only have to deal with them one time if you know what I mean LOL

I looked into this before we decided to have a local machine shop rebuild ours. Unless your engine is an anchor, You might want to consider this. I don't think there is any significant $$$ savings, but you have allot more input on what goes into the build, and the opportunity to see / hear the final product run before you install it!

Do yourself a HUGE favor and go with a reputable rebuilt long block. The one I bought (on the east coast) ran great right off the bat and has held up fine for 8 years. Furthermore, it was 'run in' on a dyno before I bought it so I didn't have a thing to worry about.
