I just picked up 1985 4 winns horizon 190 sport that been sat not in use since 1999! It's will be parted out and become donor for my 1985 dynasty Apollo hull, it's will be like hybrid built a dynasty hull with 4 winns parts etc.... Now when I pull oil dip and show milky white is it bad? I looked under value cap the rocker arms looks shiny silver not rusted. It's a v8 not sure what model, hp etc... Is it made by Chevy or ford block?

Milky colored engine oil indicates water intrusion, meaning that not only did water find it's way into the oil, the engine has been operated since then, causing the water to mix with the engine oil...... thus the milky color.

If the oil remains hydrogenated, it typically won't cause rust immediately.

Somewhere the engine block or a cylinder head has cracked possibly due to freeze damage.

What is your specific question.... Chevy or Ford block?

.

I have seen boats limping in to the marina with the same problems and it turned out to be following seas intrusion, especially if the engine sits very low has a riser kit.
