"I have a 1986 Force 4 cylinde

"I have a 1986 Force 4 cylinder, 2 stroke, 125hp O/B (for the most part)
I'd like to add a tach to my boat
There seems to be quite a few available, but none specific to my motor
I was under the impression I had a magneto rather than an alternator
I'm also not familiar with the 2,4,6,8,12 pole description
Can anyone tell me which tach I need to buy?

"Joe, you actually need a 20 pole. It is somewhat "uncommon" although I know that Teleflex produces a 20 pole tach...."

"I seem to have "foamy bubbles" coming out of the exhaust, outboard side of port engine. Can someone point me in the proper direction?
