"Jeremy,

See the CDI and Sierra stator and rectifier here. You will see they match with the OEM numbers Joe mentions above."

"The 1989 200/225hp engine has a 35 amp stator, and that engine is a "Loop Charged" engine. The stator and reegulator/rectifier you would need are the ones that Andrew and I specified.

Other "Loop Charged" engines such as some 2 and 3 cylinder and various 4 cylinder models incorporate other ampere stators BUT yours has the 35 amp stator."

I have a 1998 engine not a 198

I have a 1998 engine not a 1989. your # on the rec.. is differant from the one on the rec... which is 586271. this # is stamped on the rec... for id.

"Jeremy..... Your very first post lists the model number as E200TXCEM. OMC's code is the word "INTRODUCES" whereas each letter stands for a number ie I=1, N=2, T=3, etc.

The "CE" within that model number (C=8, E=9) indicates the engine is a 89 (1989).

Check that model number again."

"Unfortunately I retired before that engine was manufactured so my knowledge on its circuitry is pretty much zilch, zero, nothing. Disregard anything I've said above pertaining to part numbers etc as they pertain to the 1989 model number.

Hopefully someone will jump in here with the 1998 information."
