where is the water intake?

I want to flush my engine but don't know where the water intake is. It's a 15hp 2004 mercury.

Try looking underneath the anti-ventilation plate (above the propeller).

Yes, the small Merc 2 strokes use a funky water hook-up, NOT the earmuffs you typically see.

As noted above, the intake is directly above the prop on the bottom of the cavitation plate.
