Where is carburetor on 9.9 four stroke

New member
New to this maintenance stuff... doing winter storage... lubricant says to spray into carbs. I just don't want to go where no man has ever gone before!
Any other tips for the 9.9 four stroke, electric start would be very welcome.

Put the motor in a barrel of water ( water well above the pump )-------------Run it and then disconnect fuel line and let motor run till it quits.----------------Store motor in a warm dry place in the normal running position.--------Check to make sure there is no water in the lower unit.-------------That is all you need to do on a 4 stroke.
 
I guess I'm too anal about PM. What about changing the engine oil filter and drive oil. Dump the left over fuel in the tank into the car? I would rather have it sit in storage w/clean oils. Just for the hell of it I would even remove the spark plugs and give each cylinder a shot of fogging oil then pull the rope a few times and reinstall the plugs. NOT necessary but I consider it cheap insurance especially if it somehow ended up being stored in a damp area...momma might just have junior move it to the back porch. Had any snow in Canada yet? We had ice 1/4" thick in the bird bath the other morning...temp went up to 59 F. Expecting 65 F tomorrow.
 
By all means change the oil in the motor and lower.A shot of fogging oil won't hurt.That way your sure there is NO water in the lower.Keep the tank full over the winter with non-ethanol gas.
The stuff for the change to electric start is available.My friend has it and it's great.
