Where Do My raw water hoses hook up

I just got a used 140A and the

I just got a used 140A and the raw water hose is in 2 pieces.
One end connects to the flywheel area on the back of the engine and the other end connects to the raw water pump.
Do I splice these 2 ends together or do I do something else.
I would appreciate any help.
