I have seen models of that vintage sell for between 400 and 600 bucks depending on condition and location.

The Japanese built Mariner line is however long discontinued and the motor is a 2 stroke, so banned in some places and on certain lakes, however, in the right area at the right time of the year, you could sell it easily - it is the perfect size for a kicker on alot of applications...."

the only drawback I see about it is that it only has 2.5 liter fuel tank any way to convert it ?

it is for sale down the street and was cosidering it as a kicker

"Gary, unlike some models which had a gravity feed tank, this engine actually has a fuel pump, integral to the carb (just like most small Mercs).

In fact, in the parts list for this motor, they list a "remote" 6 gallon fuel tank, and an adapter kit to hook it up.

Basically the kit contained a "t" fitting, filter, and the hose to connect to the tank which is spliced in existing hose going between the little tank and the carb.

Personally, if I was converting it over, I would disconnect the (on-board) tank and simply get a fitting to set it up for the remote..."
