Just came a cross a MS-39 I have not had it running but it will turn over just wondering if it is worth getting it going?

Worth depends on what you value it at. If you enjoy the tinkering and scavenging aspects that go along with making a 55-year old motor serviceable, then it's worth it to you to do so. If you're looking for a 1-pull and go motor for daily use, then keep looking. The MS-series motors with their horse-shoe shaped tanks have a certain so-ugly-it's-cute look about them. There are decals and some other restoration supplies available for your motor through various suppliers - see www.aomci.org.
If you do go through with a restoration, it's worth to you will likely be far greater than any monetary value on the open market. There are quite a few of those motors around which helps keep costs down...
