what's best paint for ss and bronze?

I just used my dive gear to scrap off shafts, rudders, ans struts... Big problem since I run less often. I thought I didn't want paint on metals to stop galvanic corrotion. Is it okay to use micron bottom paint?
 
Check with the manufacturer ..... I see that one source mentions that it contains copper.
"Micron Technology uses less copper more efficiently than old fashioned high copper bottom paints"

You'll not want to use any "conductive" anti-fouling paint on shafts/props/struts/rudders, etc.
The copper content will actually accellerate the galvanic action on any metallic components.

You'll also want to maintain a 1" to 1-1/4" clear gap between the bottom paint and these components.

In FL, most use copper paint on SS and bronze. You definitely don't want to paint aluminum with copper, however.
 
I remembered somebody told me that after I took all the paint off ss and bronze! I get dizzy holding onto the bottom of the boat to do the work. Worst dives I have ever done (but quite cost effective).
 
Yes I would like that too. So how often, for how long (time), and what speed does a NY, long island sound capt need to do? I'm never sure what's needed.
