Where do you get that type of info, Is there a chart available
I was thinking of getting the manual from johnson by johnson about $75 dollars any cheaper sources any other suggestion
What should the compression be . how low can it be before rebuild

Actually a bit puzzled by the number quoted. ER is correct for 1994 and J70TLERV would be a 1994 70hp Johnson with power tilt and trim (T) and a long shaft (L). V being a production suffix. However the "O" in the number quoted is a mystery. Sure it is correct?
J70TLEOR would be a 1995 model where EO = 1995

Hi vics,
Saw this post and wondering if you can throw some light on an engine I just brought. 70hors Johnson white body tilt trim made in Oz.
Serial number; A693882. The boat was advertised as 1990s but the maker seems to be rather obscure on the googlies..
