"I have a 25 hp Mariner w/ serial # of 695 019324 25M. I was wondering what year it is and what kind of plugs and gap I should be using, also what fuel ratio 50-1?

Thanks
Josh

"I use Autolie 4092s in mine, gapped about 30 thou. Check and change the LU oil.

"Josh, that's a 1983 "

"Josh, that's a 1983 "C" model Mariner built by Yamaha.

You can mix at 50:1.

You can take Jeff's suggestion on the plug or use NGK's B-7HS gapped at .024" - just don't use a Champion cross referenced plug. Autolite or NGK's for Merc's and Yami's (save a few very recent models) - Champions are not designed for the higher voltage on these ignition systems compared to other mfg's.

Well built motor - a carbon copy of Yamaha's own model 25D which began production in 1979. Most parts that you may need to keep her going are still available from any Merc dealer (and possibly Yamaha)...."
