What year motor do i have

Hi
i have been given a marine

i have been given a mariner 10hp motor its all grey with a mariner sticker on it and the serial number is ODO527
i was told it was a 87 model but i cant find any info on it so i was hoping some one here could verify this
i would also like to no a good place for getting a manual for this motor

However, Merc/Mariner's never came in a 10 horse model - so is this maybe a 9.9?

If you want an "owners manual", any Merc dealer can get that for you, ditto a factory service manual.

A good general repair manual is Seloc's "Mercury 1 and 2 cylinder - 1965-1991" - DON'T get a Mariner manual - those are for Yamaha built Mariners, yours is a Merc built model.."

its a mariner marathon 10 if that makes any diff i did find listings for marathon 10 motors but still wasnt able to find a year and the marathon 10 is listed as a merc 10hp made in america from what i could find
unfortunately the serial sticker is partly missing and that was all i was able to get for a serial number

I am busy with a Mariner 4ML Serial # 6EO L 331945 and I have discovered a broken ring. What year is this model and where could I search for spares on the web. I don't need original parts.
