What year model????

I,ve recently bought a boat with a 60e motor on it and would like to know what year it is the serial number is 6fo-300327 i want to work on the motor because it was standing a long time so would like to get as much info as possible any info on it would be greatlly appreciated ;) Taken the carbs of already to clean seeing that the motor would not pick up revs and also does'nt spray out water so think the impeller might be stuffed :( thanx!!!!!
 
You have a 1981 Yamaha built (100% Yami built for Mercury) electric long shaft model. It is a carbon copy of Yamaha's own model 60CE which saw production between 1981 and 1983. This is the highest horse power twin cylinder model in the Mariner line-up.

Parts are getting somewhat scarce for these as the model was discontinued by Yami in 1983 (so coming up on 30 years now). What parts are available can be bought at any Merc dealer. Also, if you can find a Yami dealer with some patience to look through old lists you could enquire about parts for a 1981 model 60CE Yami - everything will fit - the only difference between yours and a Yami was the paint job and the decals.
