I have a leaking seal in the lower end. where can
I find information on replacing the seals?

"IF you are taking about the l

"IF you are taking about the lower crank seal, it's a piece of cake. Remove the power head, dig out the old seal, then press a new one in its place. The cases don't even need to be split.

Is there a trick to removing the retainer nut
from the prop shaft? It looks like a 3 pointed
king nut.

"Ben, it sounds like you are referring to the thrust hub (behind the prop and (sometimes)a "cap" that looks like a washer).

If so, it should simply slide right off, although after 20+ years of sitting in place, it may be a little reluctant to move...

The diagram below isn't the greatest, but #59 will be the thrust hub - is that what you are getting at?
