What year is my Mariner

I have a 40 hp Mariner Magnum, Twin carb, 4 cly. I'm trying to find what year it is. The only numbers I could find are OD237162. Can someone help me? Thanks

This number is not showing anything, The serial number is the way to look up the year, It should be located on a metal plate on the midsection, just under the lower cowling. They made 40 hp between 1970 and 1990 with a few breaks in between. Not much help. Also, send a picture if you cannot find the serial number. It is a mercury engine with Mariner name on it.

It would appear to be 1993 model.
