Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I tried to check on http://www.marinshopen.se/Motorer/ModellguideNy/tabid/494/Default.aspx the matrix is hard to follow, it which indicated 2003 year although as I said it is hard to decipher.

It comes up as a 1999 in your chart, too. Look down the left hand column for BF15, then look over to the extreme right column for a serial number range that contains your number. BAAS 1400001 - 1499999
