I have just been given a 50 h

I have just been given a 50 hp mercury 500 with the serial number 7007550 and was wondering what year it is and if it would be worth rebuilding.

I have a Eaton's Viking f

I have a Eaton's Viking five horse power and was wondering if by any chance you might know when they first started building them. thanks
