what will happen if i take a 2

what will happen if i take a 24 pitch prop off amd put a 21 pitch on will i go faster or slower the one i have on now i can only get to 4200 maybe 4500 rpms tweaked out

"u need to ck this eng out first....i had a similar prob on my 200 that i've had 1 yr....finally put it on my dyno,after a bogging incident,found the timer ring that is GLUED to flywheel,had spun,so i was unable to obtain req timing...now,may not be the case on yours,but other things could be a prob that be be ck'ed..
what eng--year and model number?.."

"this sounds familiar,..but,....i would ck the therm assm,as well as pressure rel valves.,after use,u should see a lil oil residue..90 psi on an 80's V-6 is not a big deal.
ok..so,u have established,your comp is -ok-
if the carbs have not been rebuilt in a few yrs,..then i would do it,..i would also do a full,thorough,tune up,esp ck'ing HS timing.
look at timer base for full rotation,ck that carbs are open fully,at wide open throttle.
btw--DE-CARB that eng...it will surely help it.."
