"Boat will only start and run when you take coil wire off cap and let the spark jump to cap. Replaced coil wire-still the same. Won't start, have plenty of spark and fuel. Ignition module?"

Look carefully at the conditio

Look carefully at the condition of the rotor and dist. cap. Look for thin black carbon tracks or cracks. Replace them if questionable. Are you talking about the optic sensor in the dist.? It wouldn't run "as you say it will" if the module was defective.
