What spark plugs are people using?

Just fitted NGK plugs on advice from my mechanic and they seem to make a difference - there is a big "marine placebo" - cant think of a better term - that goes with this but I am wondering if there is a consensus on the best plugs to use on an AQ 4 cylinder (mines an AQ151) or marine motors in general?

Some plugs REALLY run better than others in a given engine. Proved this back in my "bachelor days" with my car on a chassis dyno...as well as longevity on the street. My marine engines over the years ( since 1964) also seem to have a preference as evidenced by WOT tests (and longevity). I usually start with the mfg recommended plugs at the recommended gap. Of late, my 5.7L carbed 260 HP engine seems happy with NGKs.
