i have a 1974-76 chrysler outboard 60 hp my prop was spun and i don't know a thing about them the prop is a 3 blade size is 11X13 can anyone tell me what i can do and where to get a new one i don't know a thing about pitch either please help thanks EF

" 11X13 = 11 inch X 13 pitch

" 11X13 = 11 inch X 13 pitch

The size is the diameter and the pitch is the "gearing"; a lower pitched prop is of a lower "gear" and a higher pitched prop is of a higher "gear". The way it's done is the higher pitched props have a more aggresive slant to them, moving more water. With a higher pitched prop, you will get less RPM at WOT (wide open throttle), with a lower pitched prop you get more RPM at WOT. So, what you shoot for is a prop that gets you something toward the top of the operating range of the engine with a light load on the boat, at WOT. Check out www.miwheel.com, there you will find a prop selector that will guide you through picking out a prop. I'm not sure what you have in your area, but the chains ( BOAT US www.boatus.com or West Marine www.westmarine.com ) sell michigan wheel props online or in the stores.
