What kind of fluid

I bought a new trim pump for m

I bought a new trim pump for my mercruiser 165. It's the kind with the white plastic resevoir. I was wondering what kind of fluid to put in it? The old one called for 5w-20 or 5w-30 motor oil. I know some guys put trans fluid in theirs.

I always stuck with what ever engine oil I ran so that qt on board did two things.
