"i have a mercruiser 502, i hooked up my scan tool and it is saying general warning # 2 PCM# j1-22, in my mercrusier manual it is telling me that j1-22 is not used i have found no problems and i still get a warning beep about every 10 seconds. if any one can help or has any info please let me know. "Does yours run ECM 555?
My manual for the ECM 555 indicates that fault #22 means that the warning horn in the boat is either not functioning, or not installed. Obviously that is not right in your case.
Are you using the right scan tool?

i figured it out i had the wro

i figured it out i had the wrong wire grounded it was detecting a problem that couldn't be there it would have been a trans problem but i have no trans just a wrong hookup thanks for the help though
