What is that part New to Boating

On my 1986 Sunrunner 19' A

On my 1986 Sunrunner 19' AQA151 Volvo on the back bottom of the to the right of the stern unit I have a white plastic piece about 3-4 inches long with a cable goint to it and looks like a little eye at the bottom of it. I am New to boating and when I purchased this boat the dealer never showed me anything. Thanks Warren

the speedometer pitot is usua

the speedometer pitot is usually white and as you describe although the cable is actually a small tube. if the boat has a deep finder?
usually on the opposite side from the pitot you will find a small transducer.
