I have a 69 evinrude 85hp model 85993m was out yesterday for my b-day all was going wall when all of a sudden it died. it still turns over but i think no spark. any ideas what i may be lookin at? thanks,joe

do a search for that yr engine.lots of valuable info.....there is an 'anti-rev' spring,that kills the ign and i have had prob w/them on occasion,many moons ago..the eng is a good one,..the ign system,....is a PITA!
