"When I purchased my 89 200 Mariner Offshore it came off a boat and we did not take the oil tank. I have an oil tank and the parts that are on the attachments. What else do I need to make the system functional? Also, I pulled my carbs and they had alot of oil. I am mixing oil in the tank 50:1, is this correct? What would cause the excessive oil in the carbs and alot of smokeng on start up?

50:1 is correct. That may have

50:1 is correct. That may have been removed for a reason. Remove the oil pump and see if the gears are stripped.
