What are the disadvantages to putting a port side motor on a single engine boat?

I am looking at a port side motor for my 21 foot Triton. What kinds of problems will I run in to when changing them out.

Should be okay on a boat that size. If you had the helm on the port side, and it was a small boat, you'd have listing difficulties.
