I would like to know the weight of a 1972 Merc 800.

Hi Rich,
About 280lbs and with tilt trim,320lbs,these are aprox.

Now, I'm not bragging (hah!) but mine weighes only 194 lbs. Uses a Mark 55/ Merc 400 tower and LU.

Not sure where these " wild " guesses come from.-------My original 1972 factory brochure lists this motor at 233 LBS
