"Does anyone have an idea what a old 16 foot Starcraft with a 70 horse Evinrude outboard would weigh in at? It is probably a 1980-84 model. All aluminum. I am looking at hoists and don't want to buy one that won't withstand the weight. My boat is upnorth, so I can't check it spec's. Is a 2,600lb. hoist strong enough? I'm guessing it's more than adaquate but thought I'd ask those who know.

thats over a ton,yours being aluminum with a 70
is still lighter than that.2600 lb hoist should be more than you need."
