Weber Conversion Help

I have a VP AQ140a. I did a rebuild on it and in the process installed a Weber Carb. On the intake manifold there is a place for the 5/8" breather hose from the valve cover. How have people connected the hose to the valve cover end? The Solex system that ran to the plastic air cover box is now discarded because of the new weber. Any help would be appreciated. Pictures too if there are any. Nick

Hopefully a Weber MARINE carb?
Also... "Plastic cover box"? Do you mean the USCG approved flame arrestor that looks like an automotive air filter?

You're a little backwards. The valve cover/oil cap shouldn't have changed and the vent outlet should still be there. (The vent is either coming from the valve cover or the oil cap.) It's the intake manifold that has changed to the new Weber design. That vent is just a crankcase blow-by pressure release vent. If you can output it into the spark arrestor somehow so the gases gets sucked back into the carbs I think that would be good enough. That's the way my OEM AQ125 is set up. Or you could drill and tap an inlet vent into the new weber intake.

BTW please post some pics of the weber set up. I'm sure a lot of us would like to see it! I've ben curious about this set up for a while but I've never seen one.
