Water tube on lower unit

Is there supposed to be a tube from lower unit attached to nipple on impeller housing 1992 King Cobra Outdrive.....mine is capped off and I see no tube

I don't know, not knowing the model or year, etc... but the water has to get to the impeller somehow - it usually is internal. Not sure what the nipple is. A good first step would be to buy the manual on this website. Just scroll up to manuals.

It is a 1992 7.4 OMC KING Cobra .... I have the manual that I sent off for but it's not showing where it connects in the lower unit and for some reason every time I try to post a picture of it on here it's telling me oops there's a problem..

There is a " vent hose " shown from impeller housing.----Perhaps one deemed it to be not needed.
