Water trickle in bilge

I am new to this site. I have just had a problem w my 88 24' albemarle. It has the chev 350 carb fwc engine w/ the 290 VP dp outdrive. Looking from the front of the motor left hand side rear Im staring to get water leaking into the bilge. Its not the engine. Its like its coming from the bellhousing located about 9 o'clock. Any idea what could be causing this. Thanks for any advice​

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... The only way to find a water leak, or any other leak for that matter,...

Is to LOOK, as it's leakin',...

A digital camera will put eyes, where yer head won't fit,...

Fluids flow Downhill, so keep lookin' above the mess, til it ain't there,...
At that point, ya just went by the actual Leak,...

Check the shift cable sheathe where it connects to the transom shield!
