"sorry I'll try again. i have a shop man. do not see plastic (key),does it go on pump shaft to impeller? if so what is a trick to this??Also i broke elbow on lower unit for small hose. where can i get this elbow? does it push in? OK i will try again for pic. Thanks for the help, Mike.

"That plastic key goes on the driveshaft... You can see the "flat spot" for it in your picture above... Look it up to be sure but I BELIEVE the "sharp" edge of the key will be your "leading edge"... i.e. since your driveshaft turns clockwise, the "sharp" edge would go towards the left of the picture above...

As for the "trick" to it, no trick, just slide the impeller over the shaft and when it get's down to the flat spot hold the key up against it and slide the impeller the rest of the way down.. Might take a little finess, but it's not too difficult...

Also don't forget to put some sealer on that gasket... ;)"
