Water Pressure Gauge location/range

Hello from New Zealand!

I have a 1988 90hp 3cyl. I would like to install a water pressure gauge for peace of mind. Two questions:

1.) Do I install a T in the water hose that leads to the pisser, or (preferably) is there a port on the Power Head that I install a connection?

2.) What pressure range should I have in mind when selecting a gauge? (may not get a genuine Merc part)

Powerhead port only. The genuine Merc part is a 1 bar gauge (15PSI).
All the aftermarket ones are 2 bars. You can use either i guess.
