Water on Plugs

Just curious about a problem my friend has on a motor repair he is doing. He told me that water is detected on the plugs. How much water or moisture there is I cannot tell you. What would be the indication of whats wrong, if you found this situation? Any comment would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bad head gasket, cracked head/block, engine running cold/no t-stat.

Leaking gaskets or hole in exhaust baffle plate, or warped baffle, especially if it is a 3-cylinder. Any of these will squirt water into the exhaust ports. If it is salt water, it is an emergency situation. Fresh water, well you might have a few more hours.
