Water leaking into pre alpha upper unit.

Hello,
I have a 69 pre alpha, it has seperate oil chambers for the front and bottom of the drive. The upper unit is having water mix with its oil. There is also a high pitch whine i'm assuming is a bearing. Is this seal/bearing likely an easy fix or am I better off trying to find a used unit? Would it be something I could remove and take to a machinist? Thanks for everyones help.

If its not coming into the bellows ,then there are onlt 2 seals that can be bad. the whine could be a broken upper shaft or upper bearing. http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Servmanl/6/6covr3.pdf 6,7,13,14 page 3A-10

Thank you for the advice, I am having some trouble navigating that manual but I really appreciate it. Which two seals would those be? The one behind the yolk? Could you give me their names or part numbers so I can research futher? Thank you. I don't think the shaft is broken, the boat goes into gear fine and the prop spins... Thank you

The bubbles will tell ya exactly where it's leakin'...
