Water leaking from head

I have just received a 1987 9.9 Johnson,
Started right up. Water is coming out of the peephole as it should be, but also coming up from the lower unit and pouring out under the cover.
Would this be a water pump rebuild needed?

Not a water pump issue.----Post pictures of where the leak is.----Could just need a gasket replaced.-----Base gasket , head gasket, water cover gasket or exhaust cover gaskets.-----Just guessing if I can not see the motor and the leak.

As stated above, we need to see where the leak starts. It could be as simple as the tube from the pees stream is cracked.
