Alpha 1 gen 2. Noticed bilge pump kick on, immediately got looking and found small drip coming in from drive unit gimbal bearing area. Pulled to
"mechanic" who stated a new gimbal bellows would fix problem. So, new bellows installed - still leaks. Now when the original bellows was pulled it was dry as a bone and the bearing was free of any rust. After pulling lower unit off the second time bellows had water it and the gimbal bearing was
obviously starting to rust. I'm thinking the bellows must not be installed correctly for it to leak but the guy swears it was put on properly.
I'm thinking Y pipe issue but hoping someone could throw a couple of other thoughts my way.
