Water Leak?

Should there be water spouting out of the side of the lower unit (prop) housing? It looks like a clean, natural hole but the water coming from the drip tube up top looks weak. I don't remember this hole being there and I've had the boat 3 seasons now. This hole is between the two access points for the gear oil changing screws on the side of the rounded part of the housing.

It is a drain hole for a cavity in the gear housing.----There to prevent it from damage in cold climates.

Have you changed the impeller in those three seasons? if not do it now

No, not yet. Although this is the beginning of my third season, I bought the kit with impeller, washers, O-rings, housing etc... Then realized that I would also need the gear case kit with gaskets, O-rings etc... I'm going to order that kit also before I pull it apart. It only makes sense while it's all apart. I want to have everything on hand before I get started. I soaked it down with turps and PB blaster to hopefully salvage the bolts and have an easier time with the removal phase.
