Hi I have a water leak! It looks like its comming from the stering knuckel> It only seems to happen when its at idel. I have 1987 bayliner with a volvo/penta 350 The boat dont leak just sitting there?? Thanks Toby

"I don't know what outdrive do you have, but if it is a 280 it could be that the seal (part 4) is in bad condition:

"Hey Thanks for your help. where can I find the model no. of out drive so I can order the parts from the link you gave me? Also when I was out there in the boat, I was running the motor and noticed the leak was less when I lifted the outdrive. At this time I noticed the exhaust was coming out if the bottom of the lower end. When I put outdrive in the down posistion, the exhaust would come out of the top end of the lower end. Is this normal for the exhaust to come out of two places in different positions of the outdrive?"
