Water intake hose alpha1 GenII, thickness?

So putting’r back together after replacing gimbel bearing, had to cut water hose during disassembly, this is the hose from outdrive to transom, about a foot long, hose is very stout/thick, so I assume replace With same thickness?

Nope, your doing something wrong then
the same oem one would be a lot better, double walled =less chance to kink
