" in 2002 i purchased a 1975, 24' sea ray with new motor and alpha 1 upgraded in 1988. the boat hadn't run for a year, within 2 hours the rod bearings went. replaced rod bearings, pistons rings, crank, etc. After about 15 hours running I started geting water in the oil. engine was run in salt water and does not have heat exchanger. replaced the intake manifold gasket, that wasn't the problem. removed the engine and replaced it with a 1975 350 aoutomotive and she purrs like a kitten. fresh water use only.question, possible souce of water leak in motor? when i pulled the plugs i had water in #1,2&8. the rest of the cans were dry
question? do i have to do anything to the chey motor. the boat is being run in fresh water? "
