water in oil

I have a 1985 Sea Ray Seville 5.6 with a 120hp I/O mercruiser.
I bumped the stern drive on a small rock, not very hard. Coincidently, shortly thereafter I ended up with water in my engine oil. I am wandering if there is s any way that the bump could have caused it or if there is something else that could have happened.
I have been told to run some cheap oil through it a couple of times and then see what happens. Anyone know of anything else that could be done. Hopin this is not something serious.

bumping the outdrive on a rock wouldn't cause water in the engine oil. Sounds like you have other issues. How many times have you run your boat this year? Was it winterized last fall?

I didn't think the bump would do it, but it was right after it that the problem started. I have run the boat three times, with the last time being the longest of the three, about two hours. It was winterized by a marina last year and I had the oil changed and a tune-up done this year before it went into the water. The boat is new to me. I bought it at the end of last season.
