"I bought a 1974 Starcraft last year on Ebay (mid season). It has a 165 Mec I/O. I purchased it with water in the oil,, looking to find the problem. Note: there was a LOT of water in this oil, over a gallon. The engine was stopped once the problem was discovered and it has been purged several times. The engine starts and runs like a top!!!!
What are my most likely sources, and are there effective ways of locating this problem without tearing down the engine. On a positive note I pulled the water pump and the inside water jackets look clean, no sign of rust and corosion for an older engine
Every feedback is WELCOME,,, Winton"

"Ayuh,... The odds are it's a Cracked Block....

Drain the cooling system, block it off with plugs,+ clamps,...
Then pressurize it with Air, about 15psi will do...
You'll Hear the leak..."
