I use an electric fuel pump and pull as much liquid out of the tanks as possible. Let it sit to separate and then back in the tank it goes. If the boat has no W/S, I put one on and show the customer how to change it or take off the canister and dump it out. Takes a little time but the water goes away, just don't let the separator get full of water as then it passes it right on to the fuel pump.

If you dont want to get an Electric Fuel Pump, Get a 15' peice of 3/8" ID hose, replace the Safety Anti-Siphon Valve temporarily on the tank with a normal open Brass Type, attach hose and let the tank Drain, replace the Anti-Siphon Fitting back on the Tank.. Purchase a Fuel/Water Separator Kit and Install.

Are you asking about a chemical, or a method?

I agree with the others....... pull this water layden fuel out, and start fresh.
By using the fuel tank pick up tube (minus the anti-siphon valve), you'll be able to remove most of it.


Look at your fuel tank vent hose. If this hose does not make a high loop (reverse "P" Trap, so to speak), it may be your source of water.
Fuel tank deck fitting O-rings/seals are another suspect area.

If you want a true water separating fuel filter, look at the Parker RACOR units.
