"Anyone know how to remove the water impeller on this old engine? Seems to be behind the prop, and a spanner wrench should open it up. But I am afraid that this may also open up the gearbox, something I am not thrilled about. I have heard the horror stories about rebuilding our own lower units... about rowing back due to a seized gearbox.....
Any advice would help ease my mind. Thanks!"
