I have a 8hp 4 stroke 3 year old engine. I realize that the aft hose port is an indicator exit port to show that water is circulating but where does the bulk water go as it exits the engine block? I am seeing water trickle out of the forward section of the cowling cover seam beneath the engine block. Is this the normal exit for coolant water?

"The"bulk" cooling wat

"The"bulk" cooling water exits the motor from several different locations, engine front, back, through propeller. You could run the motor with the cowling off and just look around in there to be sure it's not coming from somewhere it's not meant to, like around a cylinder head gasket or other. I doubt you have a problem. When my 90C yamaha idles, water seems to run out of every crack and hole on the motor. There are numerous areas on these motors that are water cooled."
