Water coming from engine

I recently took my boat out after sitting for last 6-7 months. The engine started fine and everything sounded good but it wouldn’t get going and plain like something was holding it back and then I heard a pop in the engine compartment and didn’t sound right boat went into limp mode and got me back to trailer. I took it home and found a hose blew up I thought that was the issue so I hooked up water via hose and turned it on all sounded great but I seen another hose pressurized so I shut it down and changed out impeller thinking it might have been block, new impeller and just hooked up hose to find leaking under the engine I thought it was another hose but I put my phone down there on video and water looks to be coming from engine. Was thinking engine block blown but the motor sounds great running in idea like nothing is wrong. Anyone know the issue? I have a video on my phone but don’t know how to post it on here

Sounds like your motor may have cracked due to freezing

I never had to winterize it, I always blew it out after taking it off the water and then I kept it in a heated and conditioned garage. Unfortunately we moved during wintertime and when showing our house I took the boat to a storage not even thinking about it. I think that might be the case as well but was hoping someone in here would speak some relief and let me know there is a freeze plug in that location back right side of engine on starboard side right at motor mount.

Anyone else want to give hope lol… thank you for your reply if ya’ll know any good mechanics in Oklahoma haha wasn’t looking at dumping 15k into my boat right now.

Dont know OK, but suggest finding a reman or new long block. look at places like Michigan Motorz for long term. You can also look at truck salvage yards and get a good used one. Would need to have someone swap your attached items to the used one

Yes I’m looking into it I appreciate the input I’m going to pull the engine in my shop and have someone replace the block. I wish i was more mechanically inclined but never done that before and the boats to valuable to us not to have it done right. Missed boating season which sucks!
